GTA 6 release date, price and pre-order: what PS5 players need to know
GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI) comes out on PS5 on 19 Nov 2026, on the same day as Xbox Series X|S. On the US PlayStation Store the Standard Edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition $99.99. There is no PS4 version, and Rockstar has not given a PC date yet.

When does GTA 6 come out?
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on 19 Nov 2026. Each PlayStation Store unlocks it at midnight local time on that date: 00:00 Riyadh time on the Saudi store, 00:00 UAE time on the UAE store and midnight US Eastern time on the US store.
GTA 6 was first planned for 2025 and moved twice, first to May 2026 and then to 19 November 2026. That date has not moved since. It is still worth checking our upcoming PS5 games list, which we re-check against the PlayStation Store at the start of every month.
How much does GTA 6 cost?
On the PlayStation Store, GTA 6 costs $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition. In Saudi riyals that is 301.56 and 376.96. In UAE dirhams it is 299.16 and 373.96.
Our pre-order is $59.99, which is 25% less than the PlayStation Store's Standard Edition price. It is delivered on release day. If you want to know exactly what you receive, it is all on what you're buying.
Standard vs Ultimate: what is the difference?
Both editions are the same full game: the story of Jason and Lucia across Vice City and the rest of the state of Leonida. The Ultimate Edition costs $20 more and adds extras that unlock as you play through the story:
- a '95 Grotti Cheetah and other vehicles for your safehouses
- the Hawk and Little Morgan revolvers, and personalised weapon versions
- extra clothing
- garages, businesses for customising vehicles, and special locations
If you only care about the story, the Standard Edition is the whole game. A Standard owner can also buy the Ultimate extras later as an upgrade.
Pre-order bonus and pre-load
- Vintage Vice City Pack: Rockstar's pre-order bonus. It includes a '55 Vapid Stanier with its own garage in Ocean Beach, plus outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia.
- One month of GTA+: comes with a digital pre-order or purchase on the PlayStation Store made by 19 Nov 2026. It renews as a paid membership unless you cancel it.
- Pre-load: digital pre-orders can download the game from 12 November, a week before launch, so it is ready to play the moment it unlocks.
Is there a GTA 6 disc?
No. The boxed copy holds a download code, not a disc, so the game always downloads to your PS5, whichever version you buy. Plan for a big download, and keep enough free space on your console before launch week.
Is GTA 6 on PS4?
No. GTA 6 is a PS5 game only, and the PlayStation Store says plainly that it will not play on PS4. On a PS5 Pro, the store lists it as PS5 Pro Enhanced, but Rockstar has not said yet what the Pro version improves.
